How to Print from Photos and Other Windows 10 Apps. I too can’t figure out how to print a photo with Windows 10 photo viewer, but I can print from File Explorer if I right click on the photo.
A few weeks ago people began noticing the absence of the Warmth control. What many (including me) failed to see were the new dropdown menus on Color and Light. Once expanded they show the following: Light, Contrast, Exposure, Shadows, Highlights Color, Tint, Warmth So the biggest complaint about the November release (no Shadows / Highlights) has been remedied. The other missing features (wheel navigation, color boost and selective focus) may be gone for good but Photos is anything but predictable. If the new version looks a little odd, keep in mind that this was an 'emergency' release necessitated by all the complaints (and internal dissent, no doubt). One thing that will be confusing for many are two mildly redundant controls that were changed back in November. Light and Clarity were introduced then as less 'potent' versions of what are now Exposure and Contrast.
The main difference is how far you need to move the slider bar but if you want a warmer image use Contrast and Light rather than their equivalents. The most practical approach is probably to not tweak color until after adjusting the above.
When working with small images, avoid Clarity since it leaves a small border (stick with Contrast). Reducing Light significantly has the same problem, so adjust Exposure instead.
Dimming Highlights also leaves a faint border but there's no alternative to that feature. Note that the borders are too small to see on larger photos unless you zoom on the edges. Because Microsoft is always looking for ways to streamline Photos, future releases may well eliminate one or two controls; if so just use the remaining ones (Light = Exposure, Clarity = Contrast).
For those expecting more, link is for anyone wanting to learn (or teach) about alternative editors. So far it only has FastStone's product described. And for those that still want the old program back, how to do it. Finally, for those who would be happy with the new version if it only had mouse wheel navigation, you can upvote one of the many requests in the Feedback Hub. The one I created also describes a method for minimizing use of the new navigation pane and can be found by searching for 'detailed' (its title is 'A detailed design for navigation improvements'). Zooming via the wheel would still work - you would hold down to scroll. Edit: Microsoft recently created thread to learn what we enjoy most about Photos as well as which feature we'd like to see implemented.
